Natural  Family  Planning

"Fertility Care in Harmony with Nature"sm
99% Effective - Inexpensive - Easy to Learn

Image - F.C.C.A. Affiliate
Natural Family Planning Is:
  • An opportunity for couples to learn about their natural body signs for the purpose of planning or postponing pregnancy without intrusion of drug or mechanical devices of any kind.

  • A means to assist both couples who have experienced infertility in their attempts to achieve pregnancy and couples who have normal fertility.

  • 99% effective throughout a woman's reproductive life:  during regular or irregular cycles, coming off contraceptives, after childbirth, during breast-feeding and nearing menopause if used according to instructions.

NFP is Healthy Because:
  • It is highly reliable.  Studies have demonstrated a method effectiveness of over 99% in avoiding pregnancy when NFP is properly taught by a qualified teacher and then correctly applied.  NFP is as effective as any drug on the market.  NFP is not to be confused with calendar rhythm, which was not able to account for cycle irregularity.

  • It is medically safe.  There are no harmful side effects involved in the practice of natural family planning.  The couple is free from drugs, devices or chemicals, which alter their normal reproductive systems, are messy to use, and cause unwanted or dangerous side effects.

  • It is morally acceptable to all major religions as a responsible means to postpone a pregnancy and regulate family size and spacing.  Natural Family Planning accepts fertility as a normal and healthy process which is a precious gift from God; a gift to be loved, respected, understood and wisely used.

  • It is easy to learn.  Certified teachers provide instruction and materials and are available for follow-up consultation.

  • It is less expensive than artificial contraceptives.

  • It promotes intimacy.  Ongoing communication and creative means of showing affection are a part of a successful NFP lifestyle.

  • It protects new life.  There is nothing to hinder the development of a newly conceived life.

  • It is helpful to couples who experience difficulty achieving a pregnancy because it enables them to identify the most fertile time in each cycle.

Naprotechnology is a newly emerging gynecologic and reproductive science.  It can be defined as a science which devotes its medical, surgical and allied health energies and attention to cooperating with the natural procreative mechanisms and functions.
Naprotechnology is a science which empowers women to take control of their fertility, understand their natural sequences of fertility and infertility and be several steps ahead in the evaluation and eventual treatment of gynecologic and reproductive abnormalities.
Indeed, this is the contemporary approach to women's health care.  It is medically safe, respectful to the dignity of women and effective in what it says it is able to do.`
